Kodama Crochet Pattern


Poly-fil stuffing, scissors, 3.75 mm crochet hook, plastic yarn needle, metal yarn needle, hot glue gun with glue, 6 mm safety eye, 9 mm safety eye, white yarn (medium weight), black felt

White yarn (medium weight):


ch = chain

sc = single crochet

1 sc = one single crochet in each stitch until end of round

2 sc = two single crochet in each stitch until end of round 

ss = slip stitch

1 dc = double crochet

(x) = the number of stitches you should have after finishing each round

Dec = decrease stitch


*Rounds; white yarn

1. Create a 6 sc ring (6)

2. 2 sc (12)

3. 1 sc (12)

4. 2 sc, 1 sc (18)

5-6. 1 sc (18)

7. Dec, 1 sc (12)

*Insert safety eyes and fill head with polyfil

8. Dec (6)

9. 2 sc (12)

10-12. 1 sc (12)

13. Dec until bottom is closed


*Rounds; white yarn

1. Create a 3 sc ring (3)

2-4. 1 sc (3)


*Rounds; white yarn

1. Create a 4 sc ring (4)

2-3. 1 sc (4)

4. 2 sc in the first and second stitch only (6)
